The fastest route for corrections, editorial questions, privacy requests and press enquiries. We aim to acknowledge within five working days, and to answer GDPR requests within one month as the Regulation requires.

Why there is no contact form
A form is a data-collection mechanism. It would need to receive your name and message on our server, store or forward them, and almost certainly involve a third-party service and an anti-spam script that sets cookies. That would break the promise made in our cookie policy — that this site stores nothing and loads nothing from anyone else — in exchange for saving you a single click.
Using your own e-mail client instead keeps you in control: you can see exactly what you are sending, to whom, and you keep a copy. We think that is the better trade.
What to write to us about
- A correction. Quote the page address and tell us what is wrong. This is the most useful mail we receive; the corrections procedure sets out exactly what happens next.
- Privacy. Access, erasure, objection or any other GDPR right. Please read the privacy policy first — it explains why, having collected almost nothing, we may be unable to find data about you.
- Something we should cover. Suggestions for guides are welcome.
- Commercial enquiries. We accept no sponsored articles, no guest posts and no paid links, so a mail of that kind will get a short answer. Affiliate programme enquiries are read.
What we cannot help with
We are a publisher, not a vendor and not a support desk. We cannot cancel a subscription for you, issue a refund, recover an account, unlock a device or remove malware from your machine. For any of those, contact the company you bought from — they hold your account and your order reference, and we hold nothing. If you have been charged unexpectedly, your card issuer or bank is the other place to go.
Do not send us personal information you do not have to
Please do not e-mail passwords, card numbers, copies of identity documents or screenshots containing them. We do not need them, and we would rather not receive them.
